Go with the white, it's cooler and believe it or not, won't show the dirt as badly. A black vehicle shows every little spec of dirt. But a white car doesn't show the normal road film unless you touch it and make a clean spot.

definitely go with the white. i have a black SUV and a white corvette. in the summer, the corvette is much more cooler.

according to science, black or dark colors will absorb more heat and at a faster rate than white or light colors. if it were up to me, i'd get a gray colored suv.

Would you buy a car/suv which is black or which is white in color if you are living in the tropics?
If you were to buy a car/suv after carefully looking into all specifications like engine effeciency, power, fuel effeciency, interiors, manufacturer etc and you have zeroed in on the make, model and type,the choice you have to now make is only regarding the color with a choice of a dark shade like Black, Dark Blue etc and a white coloured car. Considering the fact that you live in the tropics where the summer lasts for atleast 4-5 months of the year, would you select the black colored car/suv or the white colored car/suv?

My gut feeling is that a white coloured car/suv would be more fuel effecient and the air conditioning would be much better as black absorbs more heat and the car/suv would be using more fuel and thus airconditioning just to keep the car cool even with all the insulation between the outer shell and the interiors.

Please give me your take on it and I want serious answers please and is there some site which gives me comparison charts based on what I have said.
