What color eyeshadow and lipstick did ancient Egyptians wear?

I'm dressing up as one for Halloween and was wondering what the best shadow and lipstick colors would be? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Blues, purples, red, black, gold. Here's a couple of ideas:

  5. the egyptians generally used kohl to line their lids and berry juice to stain their lips. so I would say black eyeliner, and a red or berry colored lip. for the eyes you should do a cat-eye style along the lashes, then in the crease of your lid do another cat-eye line. the lines should extend outward toward your temples. for extra effect do a line on the lower rim of your eye too.

  6. Eyeshadow- turquoise blue; lipstick- a skin color with a little bit of brown or gold. The lips were neutral and their look was all about the eyes. You should also dust a little bit of golden powder on your cheeks to look even more Egyptianesque (if that's a word). Hope this helps! =)
