What is the key to long lasting lipstick?

I use a lipstick that is supposed to last 8 hours. After about two hours the only lipstick that is left is around the edges of my lips and makes it look like I am wearing lip liner with no lipstick. What is the trick to keeping it on?

The same thing always happens to me, and I have tried TONS of different brands. I think it is easiest just to carry the lipstick in my purse/bag.

    Here;s the trick:
    1. make sure your lips are smooth, remove dead skin very gently with an old tooth brush)
    2. apply a thin layer of the lipstick
    3. blot your lips with a tissue, then through the tissue, brush a thin layer of loose powder (face powder.)
    4. apply another thin layer and repeat step 3. Apply a final layer.
This should help it last ages without leaving you with the lip liner round the edges look.

    Good luck x

  5. First layer on a lip balm/chapstick and let it dry. Then apply one HEAVY coat of lipstick. Blot it so it is the color intensity you want. Then apply the topcoat that the long lasting lipstick comes with. Repeat applying, blotting, then layering again and it will last you way longer!
